Service Division

The Service Division of Flanders/CSC can refurbish spent adsorber cells at the Washington, North Carolina facility. The service includes making minor repairs, cleaning each cell, installing new gel or gaskets, filling cells with certified carbon, testing to IES RP-8 and packaging cells for shipment. Portable shaker tables, fill hoppers, and a wind tunnel are used for on-site refurbishing and testing by Flanders/CSC personnel.

Flanders/CSC stocks a variety of carbons with complete traceability. All required QA documentation is shipped with each order.

Flanders/CSC also performs in-place testing of filter systems. While components such as HEPA filters, adsorbers, and housings are factory tested, an in-place field test determines the performance level of the installed filter system. The aerosol test for HEPA filters, the FREON test for carbon filters, the pressure decay test for housings, airflow tests, pressure drop test, and others are performed by Flanders/CSC’s well-trained personnel. Arrangements with a number of qualified laboratories allow Flanders/CSC to perform radioactive iodine test on carbon samples, in some cases, overnight.

The Service division can also furnish new adsorber cells to meet original equipment specifications. Flanders/CSC has used a variety of specialty adsorbents, including activated carbons, impregnated carbons, ASZM-TEDA carbon, Cooperite carbon, alumina, dessicants, and others.
